Purbeck Breezer 40 - Swanage to Poole

Route 40 takes you from the sandy beaches of the charming Victorian seaside resort of Swanage, inland to the 11th Century ruins of Corfe Castle over the Barrow Down.  Running alongside the 6 mile stretch of heritage Swanage Steam Railway which terminates here, you can jump from the train to the bus at the end of the line and continue to the historic market town of Wareham, via Stoborough Green across Middlebere Heath.

Route 40 finishes up at Poole mainline railway and National bus terminals and takes about 1 hour and ten minutes.

Hilary Jordan on our FB Group Page commented “Stayed at Norden Farm campsite last year close to Corfe Castle and Swanage railway. Lovely working farm and the bus stop is right outside the campsite. Highly recommend the site and the bus ride into Swanage”
