100 Coastliner Dover to Hastings

Now known as The Wave bus route and run by Stagecoach. Once listed as the longest bus route in England it has been honed down somewhat but is still a great route.  It still takes over three hours and this news snippet will tell you more about the route. See Here

A recent comment from the Bus Pass Heaven Facebook Group stated..”On this route there is a stop for The Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel le Ferne near Folkestone. Well worth a visit, a Spitfire and Hurricane in the grounds and the new building opened by the Queen recently”

We would like more info on the route itself so please contact us (see below)

Route and timetable are Here

We would be interested in knowing of campsites along this route. Email info to enquiry@buspassheaven.co.uk or post on FaceBook Bus Pass Heaven group

Another comment from our Facebook Group Page stated… “There is a campsite called Little Satmar at Capel-le-ferne. It is sign-posted at Winehouse Lane. It is about a half mile walk to the site from the bus stop. Capel also has a very nice little Cliff Top cafe and in the summer there is seating outside overlooking the Channel. There is a very large Holiday camp with statics and tourers on the A259 between Hythe and Dymchurch. It is called Newbeach. Further on just before reaching New Romney there is Marlie Farm site, which again is statics and tourers.”

Thank you for the info Marilyn

Marilyn has also stated “The Dover to Lydd etc buses, 100,101 and 102 travelling from Dover, pass a stop at Tontine Street, Folkestone where one can visit the Old High Street which is part of The Creative Quarter, and from there it is a short walk to the Sands, the Harbour to buy some seafood, and to the recently opened Harbour Arm with pop up eateries and live music and walking at weekends. The Harbour Arm is open for walking only, during the week from Monday to Thursday. It is a very nice walk in good weather. It has a fb page for info. The FB page is Folkestone Seafront - Harbour Arm

Thanks again Marilyn
